GIRL FIGHT?!!! Azealia Banks DISSES Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj And Kreayshawn
When Harlem-based rapper Azealia Banks found out that the very-blonde Iggy Azalea made XXL's Freshman Class list (and she didn't), she was not too pleased and had a few not-so-nice things to say. Azealia Banks had a few things to say about XXL Magazine selecting white rapper Iggy for their “2012 Freshman Class” (which also includes Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, & Roscoe Dash).
She tweeted,
“Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong. How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a ‘runaway slave master’?”
She added,
“Sorry guys. But I’m pro black girl. I’m not anti white girl, but I’m also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it.”
Do we smell a beef? Well......Iggy didn't respond directly to Azealia, but she tweeted a response to her non-lovers saying,
“You can’t block my blessings! Today I’m celebrating! Get with it or kick rocks! First female freshman. Ever. Period. Thanks world! I used to stick XXL on my bedroom door, now I’m on the cover. Life is great.”
But Iggy wasn't the only target of Azealia, who had a few more things to say about other female rappers. On Nicki Minaj, she said,
“The butt, the hair, the this, the that, all the other shit, like… As much respect that I have for her, we’ve seen you do this already, what else can you do?”
Then.......she talked about Kreayshawn saying,
“You’re a dumb bitch. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face. … Fall back slut.”
Keep it classy Azealia.

Simpson's brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, has talked about Johnson, noting that the NFL player puts a smile on Jessica's face. "He's a really smart guy, and Jessica really loves him," Ashlee's husband told <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20442126,00.html" target="_blank">People.com</a>. "I think that's the most important thing, seeing her happy." Simpson and Johnson have been dating since May. The pop star recently shared her upcoming Thanksgiving plans and revealed she and her athlete fiancé would spend the holiday together. "We're all gonna be in New York," she told <i>People</i> last month. "I'm gonna be on a [Macy's parade] float. It's not always the best way to spend a Thanksgiving, but it's a great way to celebrate. So, maybe I'll just have all families on the float." <P>On Sunday night, the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys">2012 Grammy Awards</a> went off without a hitch, with a bit of everything for everyone: from a <a href="/news/articles/1679100/grammys-2012-whitney-houston-jennifer-hudson-tribute.jhtml">tear-jerking tribute for Whitney Houston</a> to several returns to the spotlight to one mind-boggling performance from the one and only Barbie herself, Nicki Minaj. With a few hours under our belts to reflect on the big show, MTV News is taking a look at several of the biggest moments of the night, including the biggest snubs, the most shocking moment and Adele. However, she walked into the show holding her own golden scepter, so at least she had something to clutch. Other noticeable snubs belonged to two-time nominee Katy Perry, who despite several years' worth of nominations, has yet to take home Grammy gold. Four-time nominee <a href="/news/articles/1679088/grammys-2012-bruno-mars-performance.jhtml">Bruno Mars wore gold when he performed</a>, but he certainly didn't take any home. Bon Iver pulled an Esperanza Spalding on Nicki Minaj when he grabbed the <a href="/news/articles/1679103/grammy-awards-bon-iver-best-new-artist.jhtml">Best New Artist</a> prize at the show. Barbies everywhere probably pegged Nicki as the likely winner for the award, but it was the atmospheric indie rocker who won instead. "It's really hard to accept this award," Bon Iver's Justin Vernon said humbly when he stepped onstage. "There's so much talent out here on the stage, and there is a lot of talent that's not here tonight." <big><b>Shocking Performances</b></big><br> Katy Perry certainly made headlines when she took to the stage to perform her new song, <a href="/news/articles/1679098/grammy-awards-katy-perry.jhtml">"Part of Me."</a> The scathing breakup track may have served as a thinly veiled kiss-off to Russell Brand as she sang, "You chew me up and spit me up/ You took my life/ You drained me down/ But that was then, and this is now." But perhaps no performance will be as dissected as <a href="/news/articles/1679117/2012-grammys-nicki-minaj-reactions.jhtml">Nicki Minaj's church-themed "Roman Holiday"</a> spectacle. Choreographed by Lady Gaga's former right-hand lady, Laurieann Gibson, Minaj performed an exorcism on her rapper alter-ego, Roman, all in a sea of Catholic references that would even leave the Mother Monster blushing. <big><b>Whitney Houston Tribute</b></big><br> At the end of the in memoriam part of the show, Jennifer Hudson took the stage to belt out Houston's signature ballad, "I Will Always Love You." Houston, who died the day before the Grammys, was remembered in song by Hudson during the understated and emotional moment that brought the room (and Hudson) to tears. <big><b>Adele</b></big><br> Sure, a lot of people won awards, and a lot of people performed, but it was the British songstress who was the shiniest star of the night. The stars of Broadway's 'A Streetcar Named Desire,' Wood Harris, Nicole Ari Parker, Daphne Rubin-Vega and Blair Underwood hosted a meet and greet at Pershing Square Signature Center in New York City today. Mom of 2 Nicole is looking fab these days.
The cast began rehearsals today--Nicole has been cast as the female lead, Blanche DuBois and the hot Mr. Underwood will play her husband, Stanley Kowaolski. Both are making their Broadway debuts.
And during a recent interview with HuffPost BlackVoices, Blair revealed what fans can expect from his new role.
"The theater is my first love, it started in the theater. I went to college at Carnegie Mellon University and studied theater and fine arts. It just so happened that film and television took off in my career. But every chance that I get, I get back on those boards. It's where I feel most comfortable. So it's that, and then there's that personal excitement about the production itself: the fact that it is "A Streetcar Named Desire," the fact that it is Stanley Kowalski, which is just an iconic role to play in American theater.
And then the fact that I get to work with Nicole Ari Parker, who's playing Blanche, and Daphne Rubin-Vega is playing Stella, and Wood Harris playing Mitch, and [five-time Grammy award-winner from New Orleans] Terence Blanchard, who's doing the music. So he's going to give it all of that New Orleans flavor. So what you can expect is a glimpse inside fascinating, dysfunctional characters on stage. But also arguably one of the greatest plays ever written."
Streetcar Named Desire gets revived on Broadway April 22nd.

Snoop Dogg And Wiz Khalifa Get 'Wild' On Video Set
'This is a family affair, man,' Wiz tells MTV News while shooting a clip for his upcoming stoner comedy with Snoop.

<P><b>MONTCLAIR, California</b> -- Big <a href="/music/artist/snoop_dogg/artist.jhtml">Snoop D-O-Double-G</a> celebrates his 40th birthday Thursday (October 20), but on Wednesday night, he was all business. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:703587" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Well, business as usual. Snoop spent the evening shooting a music video with <a href="/music/artist/wiz_khalifa/artist.jhtml">Wiz Khalifa</a> for the track "Young, Wild & Free." It's the first song from the soundtrack of the duo's upcoming stoner comedy, <a href="/news/articles/1655453/snoop-dogg-talks-wiz-khalifa-collabo-movie-high-school.jhtml">"Mac & Devin Go to High School."</a> It was quite a spectacle on the video set. The mellow MCs took over a drive-in movie theater an hour outside Los Angeles with tons of tricked-out rides and a variety of video vixens. The clip was directed by Dylan Brown, who also handled directing duties on the film. "This is a family affair, man," Wiz told MTV News. "Everybody that you see was all involved with the project. We all got love for each other, and you know, we just keeping it moving, right?" "Yeah that's all," Snoop added. "We just having fun. We at a big drive-in theater so we could have as many people and have as many things happen as possible in the celebration of being young, wild, and free -- having a good time." And clearly they were having a good time. One scene saw Snoop and Wiz romping around the parking lot in some souped-up off-road karts, loaded with a crew of cuties. "That's definitely going along with the theme of being young, wild, and free -- just having fun, wild'n out," Wiz said. "The whole theme of the video, we just getting it crackin' in the parking lot, man, just turning this thing out. So we had a couple little of our friends in the car, and we drove fast." "I had to level out the playing field," Snoop admitted, with his kart holding a few extra girls than Wiz's. "I had to have some, ahem, weight issues, so I had to have some girls roll with me to level out my car." If you're wondering how this whole scene ties into the high school flick, the Doggfather has you covered. "We got some more party scenes where we just gonna be doing our verses and having the scenes from the movie play on the big screen from the actual movie 'Mac & Devin Go to High School,' " Snoop said. "So people get a chance to see a few scenes and see us perform at the same time." The song itself got production help from Bruno Mars and quickly came together. "[Bruno Mars] sent me the music and I played the music for Wiz and he loved it and we came together," Snoop said. "That's what we do: We make good music. If you've got a great idea, which was started by Bruno, and me and Wiz, we take it to the next level, gave it back to Bruno. He tightened up the edges, and now it's a complete situation." Look for the soundtrack in December, just in time for the holiday season, followed by the film's release in February.</p>

Are Madonna And Britney Spears Collaborating On MDNA?
Amid rumors that Spears will appear on Madge's 'Girls Gone Wild,' MTV News looks back at their history together.

<P>Could it be that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/madonna/artist.jhtml">Madonna</a> has enlisted her pal <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> for <a href="/news/articles/1678197/madonna-mdna-album.jhtml"><i>MDNA</i></a>? </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:623135.id:1657989" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Well, according to a leaked album jacket, it seems that Spears is making an appearance on the album's lead track, "Girls Gone Wild." This would mark the second collaboration on the album. Madonna nabbed Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for the album's first single, <a href="/news/articles/1678478/madonna-give-me-all-your-luvin-video.jhtml">"Give Me All Your Luvin'."</a> While the leaked jacket, which appeared on Britney fansite <a href="http://www.breatheheavy.com/2012/02/britney-on-new-madonna-album/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed" target="_blank">Breatheheavy.com</a>, can't be confirmed as authentic, a rep for Madge had no comment about the rumor, neither confirming nor denying it. Meanwhile, a rep for Spears never returned MTV News' request for comment. This is hardly the first time that the two ladies have worked together. In fact, they have quite a history with each other. The duo kicked off their nearly decade-long friendship at the 2003 VMAs when, in case you hadn't heard, they <a href="/news/articles/1669706/britney-spears-mtv-vma-history.jhtml">shared an onstage kiss</a> while performing together. It was the kiss seen and heard around the world, and nearly 10 years later it is still often talked about as one of the most memorable moments in the show's storied history. After they shared that smooch, Spears was inspired to get the Queen of Pop on her lead <i>In the Zone</i> single, <a href="/news/articles/1658075/britney-spears-me-against-the-music.jhtml">"Me Against the Music."</a> "I was in the middle of rehearsals for the VMAs and I played her the song, and she was like, 'That's your first single, right?' " Britney recalled in a vintage interview with MTV. "I was like, 'Yeah, hopefully.' She was like, 'I really like it.' I was like, 'Really?' I was like, 'Well, you wanna do it with me?' She said, 'Yeah.' " They later appeared together in the warehouse-set video with one another, playing a pop star cat-and-mouse game that featured a near kiss. Five years later, as Spears was prepping her return to the pop spotlight, she appeared <a href="/news/articles/1598804/britney-spears-justin-timberlake-appear-onstage-with-madonna.jhtml">onstage with Madonna</a> during a Sticky & Sweet Tour stop at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The singer hit the stage with the pop icon to perform "Human Nature" by her side. That same year, Madonna appeared in <a href="/news/articles/1600361/britney-spears-talks-breakups-breakdowns-in-for-the-record.jhtml">Spears' documentary, "For the Record,"</a> where she spoke about the younger singer. "I admire her as an artist," the Material Girl said, adding that she sees a lot of herself in Spears. In 2011, as Spears was prepping the release of her album <i>Femme Fatale,</i> in an <a href="/news/articles/1659522/britney-spears-plastic-surgery-out-magazine.jhtml">interview with <i>Out</i> magazine</a>, she noted that she truly admires her friend. "Madonna. No question. She is an amazing entertainer," she said when asked whose career she most would want to emulate. As Madonna preps the release of <i>MDNA</i> in March, Spears is also the topic of conversation in a recent interview with her. When asked by ABC News what it was like to smooch the pop princess, she commented, "Nice moment, good kisser. Cool," she said, clarifying that she wouldn't do it again. "No, I already did it. I don't like to repeat myself." Well, perhaps a kiss would be "reductive" (her word, not ours), but it seems given the love that Madge and Spears fans have for the two pop stars, they wouldn't mind them cooking up some musical magic. T.I., Dr. Dre 'Creating Chemistry' In Latest Collabo

<P>No matter your stature in rap, working with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/dr_dre/artist.jhtml">Dr. Dre</a> is a pretty big deal. Newcomers like Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster have seen their careers grow considerably after working with the good doctor, while veterans like Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent have marveled at Dre's in-studio work ethic. For <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/t_i_/artist.jhtml">T.I.</a>, however, simply working with the West Coast production king isn't enough. He wants to develop a tighter musical bond. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:722275" width="240" height="211"></div><p> On Tuesday (December 28), Tip leaked a trailer for the <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2011/12/27/ti-gets-studio-time-with-dr-dre-mixtape-trailer">mixtape <i>F--- da City Up</i></a> that showed him and Dre working together in the studio. "Dre was here. He sent for me over to the spot. We really just turned up more than anything else. It was about creating chemistry," T.I. told MTV News while he was in Atlanta preparing for the New Year's Day release of the mixtape. This isn't the first time that the King of the South has collaborated with the California legend. A few years ago, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVatLdGfIkM" target="_blank">"Topless,"</a> a song that was said to be recorded for <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2011/11/14/dr-dre-wants-a-break-from-music-no-update-on-detox/">Dre's oft-delayed <i>Detox</i></a>, leaked onto the Internet. According to T.I., their most recent session was a fruitful one. "Of course we can get together, he got hot beats and I got dope rhymes, so we can always get together and make music," Tip said. "But for people to feel what we're sayin' and for it to sound like a party comin' through your speakers, you gonna have to create some chemistry. So that's what we spent more time doin' than anything else; developing that chemistry."</p>

<P>The school year may already be in full swing, but on Wednesday, fans will get their first glimpse of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/snoop_dogg/artist.jhtml">Snoop Dogg</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/wiz_khalifa/artist.jhtml">Wi Khalifa</a>'s "Mac & Devin Go to High School" film when the smoked-out duo premiere the <a href="/news/articles/1672930/snoop-dogg-wiz-khalifa-young-wild-and-free.jhtml">video for "Young, Wild & Free"</a> on MTV. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:713283" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Starting at 6 a.m. ET the video will debut across MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, MTV.com and MTV Jams, where it will play every hour. Directed by Dylan Brown, "Young, Wild & Free," featuring Bruno Mars on the hook, is the first video from the official "Mac & Devin Go to High School" soundtrack. While integrating movie scenes into music videos sometimes gets cumbersome, Dogg and Khalifa worked things out by cleverly filming the clip in a Montclair, California, drive-in theater. "We got some more party scenes where we just gonna be doing our verses and having the scenes from the movie play on the big screen from the actual movie 'Mac & Devin Go to High School,' " Snoop told MTV News on the video set back in October. "So people get a chance to see a few scenes and see us perform at the same time." In one particular scene, the pair race in off-road karts, with some choice video models in tow. "We just getting it crackin' in the parking lot, man, turning this thing out, so we had a couple of our little friends in the car and we drove fast," Wiz said. Keeping in tune with the single's theme, Wiz raps about rolling up and sagging his jeans while Snoop rhymes like he's 17 years old all over again. Khalifa teases that the entire soundtrack will carry a similar mood. "We got the homey Juicy J on the soundtrack, we got Curren$y on the soundtrack, but mainly it's just me and Dogg," he said. "It's a real big deal because nobody's done it like that as far as a veteran, an O.G. in the game, a pioneer, and then the newest, youngest, most exciting dude in rap coming through and really just giving the people a complete project." <P>What's the point of getting all dolled up for the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys">Grammy Awards</a> if no one notices your outfit? Since not everyone can earn a nomination or score a performance slot, sometimes you have to make your own news by crashing the red carpet with an eye-popping outfit that is sure to get tongues wagging. It's anyone's guess what this year's attendees will be wearing on Sunday night at the 54th annual awards show, but MTV News will be camped out on the carpet for a full three hours before the festivities kick off and we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for all the outrageous looks and fashions. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/10-shocking-grammy-red-carpet-moments/1678986/6893746/photo.jhtml" target="_blank"><b><big>Click for photos of our most-shocking Grammy red carpet moments!</b></big></a> In the meantime, we thought it was worth a look back at some of the legendary entrances from Grammys past: </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="id:1678854" width="240" height="211"></div><p> <B>Lady Gaga egg</B>: Sure, Justin Bieber toted his pet snake to last year's show, but it was, of course, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> who turned the most heads by getting carried down the carpet in a <a href="/news/articles/1657833/lady-gaga-grammy-arrival-egg.jhtml">giant, see-through egg</a> that she incubated in before emerging later in the night for her performance of "Born This Way." <B>Britney gets bodied</B>: Britney Spears has long prided herself on wearing what she wants, when she wants. But someone should have pulled her aside in 2010 before she exited the car in an oddball Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit overlaid with a lace dress that turned heads for all the wrong reasons. <B>M.I.A.'s pregnancy chic</B>: With her <a href="/news/articles/1678599/mia-super-bowl-halftime-middle-finger.jhtml">middle finger</a> firmly tucked into place, the rapper/singer made her way into the <a href="/news/articles/1604583/mia-talks-baby-slumdog-at-grammys.jhtml">2009 show while nine-months pregnant</a> in a cartoony, ruffled blue maternity dress and matching sneakers. <B>Coldplay play dress up</B>: It was kind of cool when Coldplay stuck with their bold Sgt. Pepper's-style suits for the whole <I>Viva La Vida</I> tour. But when they wore them to the <a href="/news/articles/1604580/lil-wayne-coldplay-win-big-at-grammys.jhtml">2009 show</a>, it just felt ... silly. <B>OK Go ... back to the drawing board</B>: Viral icons OK Go are experts at drawing attention to their music with trippy, how-did-they-do-that videos. They drew mostly sniggers, though, when they donned matching brocade curtain-looking red-and-gold suits to the 2007 show. Their smartest move may have been to cover their faces with red cloth. <B>R. Kelly, man of mystery</B>: Kels has made a career out of being inscrutable , but his bold sartorial choice at the 2004 Grammys was, well, weird. From the neck down he wore an elegant three-button black suit and tie, but the matching Robin mask? Who knows? <B>Alicia Keys gets funky</B>: Nobody really knows what Keys was thinking in 2002 when she walked the carpet wearing embroidered jeans, sandals, a white tank and a sheer green sari-like shift with a built in, bedazzled headdress. <B>Toni Braxton lets it all hang out</B>: Sometimes it's what you <I>don't</I> wear that gets attention. In 2001, singer Braxton sported a barely-there white "dress" that hardly covered her assets with strips of material that dangled in the front and back. <B>Jennifer Lopez's plunging neckline</B>: Way before she was an "American Idol" judge, Lopez sent hearts racing in 2000 with her instantly infamous plunging neckline Versace gown. <b>Chaos! <P>The Bad Boys invaded Miami this past weekend when <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/red_cafe/artist.jhtml">Red Café</a> gathered Diddy, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/french_montana/artist.jhtml">French Montana</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/id_4011955/artist.jhtml">2 Chainz</a> for his "Let It Go" remix video shoot. "It's a beautiful day, historic thing goin' down right here," Red told MTV News on the set Sunday. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:730596" width="240" height="211"></div><p> It was definitely a family affair, even if the rappers on set aren't technically part of the same crew. Both Café and French hail from New York and are signed to <a href="/news/articles/1672846/red-cafe-shakedown-album-2012.jhtml">Diddy's Bad Boy</a> while Atlanta's <a href="/news/articles/1678350/2-chainz-def-jam-label-signing.jhtml">2 Chainz just announced</a> his new deal with Def Jam on Wednesday's "RapFix Live." But different record labels didn't stop the MCs from showing one another love. Even Maybach Music's Meek Mill appears in the video riding his dirt bike, even though he doesn't vocally appear on the song. "That's my dog, we came up together so I want him to win like he wants me to win," French said of Red Café. "The same goes for my dog 2 Chainz, and that's Phil Jackson right there," he added, comparing Diddy to the famed NBA coach. The set wasn't glamorous at all. The dirt bikes and multiple bonfires suggested that when it is done, the "Let it Go" remix video will serve as a nod to the gritty rap videos of the 1990s. It's an aesthetic that Red could have achieved in his hometown. So, why Miami? "It was mainly just to have great energy in it. We still wanted to be able to wear a lot of different outfits and in NYC it's a little chilly right now so it hinders us from doing the things that we wanna do, but we always New York regardless," he said. "We just wanted to come down here and get some great energy goin'." Diddy's Bad Boy once boasted the brightest of rap and R&B superstars. (The Notorious B.I.G., Ma$e, Faith Evans and the LOX have all called Bad Boy home.) Now with Café, French and Machine Gun Kelly on the roster, the energy surrounding Diddy's label seems to be growing, and Puff isn't humble about it either. "It ain't the '90s; we in 2012 and we getting it. It's Bad Boy bitch you know what it is," he boasted. "Sh-- is like air, you grew up with air in your life, when you wake up, you pray to God there is air, that's Bad Boy, we're like f---in' air.
